Helen's Bay
ABOUT US

HISTORY
St John Baptist was built in three phases. The original building completed in 1909, with further extensions and developments in 1924 and 1964.
As the village of Helen's Bay grew, so too did the needs and size of the church.
In 1986, the Parish Hall was opened. Over the years it has facilitated many church and community groups and activities, from the Helen's Bay Players, Badminton Club, Todder's Group and many beside.
Faith and Belief
We are followers of Jesus. We believe that Jesus died for our sins, and rose again to break the power of sin, and death.
The love of Jesus can save anyone who puts their trust in Him, and bring them into the Kingdom of God.
We are Anglican, a part of the Church of Ireland, in the Diocese of Down. To find out more about our beliefs, visit the Church of Ireland website.

VISION
We seek to support one another as a family of believers, the body of Christ, who worship the Lord in Spirit and Truth.
We strive to share the the Gospel with the community around us.
We long to see the love, truth and power of God become a reality in people's everyday lives.
